    Government Ready to Provide All Kinds of Cooperation to Foreign Investors: Prime Minister

    Prime Minister Tareq Rahman stated that there is currently a favorable investment climate in Bangladesh. He added that the government is ready to provide all kinds of cooperation to interested foreign investors.

    The Prime Minister made these remarks on Tuesday morning (August 11) during a courtesy call with a delegation from the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham). The Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary, Gazi Shahriar Pamir, confirmed this.

    An eight-member delegation, led by AmCham Bangladesh’s President and Mastercard’s Vice President, Syed Mohammad Kamal, met with the Prime Minister.

    During the meeting, AmCham representatives informed that the organization’s new committee took charge approximately two months ago. The new committee is working to attract more US investment to Bangladesh and strengthen commercial ties between the two countries.

    In response, the Prime Minister reiterated that a favorable investment environment currently prevails in Bangladesh. He assured that the government is ready to provide all necessary cooperation to ensure foreign investors can invest without hindrance.

    Also present at the meeting were Commerce Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Post, Telecommunication, Information Technology, and Science & Technology Rehan Asif Asad, and the Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Ashik Chowdhury.
