Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has stated that the government’s goal is to advance the country by including everyone.
He made this statement on Tuesday (August 18) at the National Revenue Conference held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre.
The Internal Resources Division of the Ministry of Finance and the National Board of Revenue (NBR) jointly organized this conference. Senior officials of the National Board of Revenue and relevant officials participated in it.
The Prime Minister said that the government is trying to reduce expenditure in unnecessary sectors. However, essential sectors will definitely receive funding. He also remarked that it is possible to bring about positive changes in the country if everyone performs their duties correctly.
The Prime Minister also stated that the issue of penalizing revenue officials would be given serious consideration.
Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Finance and Planning, Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, were present at the conference.
