    Saudi Arabia Invites Prime Minister for Visit

    Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has extended an invitation to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to visit Saudi Arabia.

    On Monday (August 17), Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh, Abdullah Zafer H. B.N. Abiayh, met with Tarique Rahman at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Secretariat. During the meeting, he handed over the Saudi Crown Prince’s invitation letter to the Prime Minister.

    The Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary, Shahadat Swadhin, confirmed the matter. He stated that during the meeting, Tarique Rahman was invited to visit Saudi Arabia on behalf of the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister. They also discussed various issues of mutual interest to both countries.

    After assuming office as Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman has already undertaken his first state visits to Malaysia and China. Now, he has received an invitation from Saudi Arabia.

    Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia share a long-standing friendly relationship. The bilateral ties between the two countries are significant in various sectors, including the labor market, trade, investment, energy, and religious cooperation. Officials concerned hope that the Prime Minister’s potential visit to Saudi Arabia will further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two nations.
